WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM YOUR AUDIENCE FEEDBACK?
Introduction
Audience feedback is there to ensure the success of our product by letting them review and criticise on whether we have created an effective product or not. We have now completed our three media products which were our film poster, magazine front cover and film teaser trailer, therefore meaning that we need to evaluate our initial audience research and get new audience research in order to know whether we successfully met the requirements of which our target audience set out. Our target audience is aged 16-25 therefore we will be asking for their feedback using a variety of social media platforms.

Our Three Media Products
Teaser Trailer
Poster - Audience Research
The first film poster for an individual film was first released in 1895, however were first used as placards inside the movie theatres for what films were being shown. Since the 1990s film posters became a trend, featuring illustrations from the film often featuring a highlight of the film. The main purpose of film posters is to advertise the film which would contain the film title, name of the actors and directors and the release date. Nightmare of Elm Street was an existing horror film which influenced the creation o our own trailer. We liked the house style which was reflected in the text and the main image and the use of the antagonist as the main image. The fact that his face is concealed by the hat is also something which we was influenced by as we created a faceless antagonist who would act as our iconic figure.

Film and horror magazine publishes with the main intention of bringing publicity and an audience in order to buy their magazine and inform them about upcoming blockbusters. We used Empire magazine and Scream magazine as main influences as they are both well known and successful. After researching and evaluating into the conventions of magazine we created a magazine front cover.

Teaser Trailer - Audience Research
Movie Synopsis: Mary-Anne is a recently single student who's days have recently seemed to mesh between dream and reality. However she is being stalked. By what? This psychological horror taps into the dangers of not knowing wether you're dreaming or awake and remember, DON'T BLINK
Inspiration: The inspiration for our teaser trailer was Nightmare on Elm Street and Weeping Angels from Doctor Who as we wanted to use a psychological sense of isolation and fear of the unknown to spark interest in our protagonist. The sub genres are also psychological which is the same as our trailer. We liked the use of tension and pace in the soundtrack of Nightmare of Elm Street therefore we tried to recreate to create the same atmosphere.

Youtube Analytics
We uploaded our trailer to Youtube and the data we gathered showed us how many people viewed our trailer. Also the most popular way the trailer was accessed and where in the world it was accessed. We were also able to check how many comments and likes we received. Even though we received 114 views we only got five comments and seven likes and no dislikes.Another thing we found out through our YouTube research was that our trailer was most popular in the United Kingdom but it was also viewed in Australia.
Conclusion
Here is some feedback from 17 & 18 year olds on the film, trailer and magazine.

Based on the audience feedback if we were to improve the three products we would:
Poster: Make the antagonist stand out from the background as it is a very harsh and dark poster which although scary is quite ineffective as its not eye catching.
Magazine: Reduce the intensity of the filter in order to exaggerate the cuts on the protagonist and have the text be easier to read and understand by the reader. Perhaps make the genre of the film being promoted clearer.
Trailer: Have more textures in our trailer to make the sub genre clear to the audience. Use more sound effects in order to create suspense over the soundtrack. Work on the colour correcting to make sure it is the same in every frame and lastly to be more efficient with the jump cuts.
