This is my evaluation question 4. This will explore how media technology has evolved over time which has helped us create a more professional final piece.
Research & Planning
The title tool allows me to create a bold title with the help of the images tool which allows me to add images straight onto the blog. These tools made it easier to layout my work in an orderly fashion.
|
The text tool makes it easier to layout where I wanted the annotations to be placed. The divider tool allowed me to apply consistent and even spacing.
|
The YouTube video tool was very helpful and gave me the access to place good video examples as well as my teaser trailer on the blog.

Weebly Allows Us To:
- Add to our blog throughout many different platforms
- Place images and videos to our blog
- Re arrange and add more to each piece
Google
Google has allowed me to gain a broader knowledge of media text as well as increase the amount of research I have. Additionally google has given me more information on how to create a better final piece as well as gain imagery to present as my inspirations to my final piece. Furthermore google gives me access to many sites that have helped me create a stronger blog page and better graphical elements. |

Whats app
Whats app was utilized in order to ask questions about the media, receive answers from those questions and to promote our pieces of work. With that information we made an evaluation of the feedback received. |

Photoshop
Photoshop was required in order to create a cleaner and more effective horror magazine and poster. Photoshop consist of many tools which made it easier to create every convention in the poster and magazine to a very high standard. Since i have a broad and more complex understanding of the program as a whole. it was not hard to create these pieces and it did not require much time to accomplish.

Final Cut Pro X
This programme was used in order to assemble the clips and create the actual horror teaser trailer. Since I was fond of final cut pro x, locating the tools as well as utilising them in the correct way was a simple task. The jump scares for the teaser trailer was placed at the 20,30, and 45th time mark. With final cut pro we had the ability to split individual layers of any clip meaning that we could manipulate the video and audio. In addition to all this the software came equipped with many filters and transitions which allowed us to create a smoother and better supernatural teaser trailer. Such as the darker and bluer filters to give an eerier mood (this matches the colours on the magazine and the poster). The transitions that were used were slow fades.

This is the timeline in which the layers for the teaser trailer are presented. The green layers which have sound waves represent the audio files. The blue layers represents the video files. The grey gaps within the blue layer is the transition. Additionally two blue layers have been placed above the whole file, which is for the top and bottom black bar that most high end movies consist of.
We only needed three of the 7 tools from the bottom right of the editing screen:

EVALUATION
Our teaser trailer was uploaded to the video streaming site known as YouTube. The reason that we chose this site above the others such as Facebook is because YouTube is the most popular out of them all and gaining feedback through the comment section and shares is easier.
Photoshop has allowed me to create multiple game cover and the poster. The tools were easy to find and smooth to use. The most used filter was the color dodge filter.
To conclude overall we have used a broad range of media technologies in order to accomplish a clean and consistent set of final outcomes. Photoshop was already easy to use for me so coming up with clean and good designs did not take much time at all. In addition to that since I already had knowledge of Final Cut Pro X, editing the clips and turning it into a horror teaser trailer was easy as well. The use of weebly's many tools and choices has helped me into creating an appealing site which consist of galleries, videos, images, GIF's and many more. Google has assisted our research in order to create pieces which follow the conventions of real media texts a lot easier.
