1. Tracking Shot: What went well: Although a bit shaky, the shot was quite smooth What to improve on: Use an actually dolly to shoot the shot and make it more effective 2. Steadicam: What went well: Worked well in establishing the setting and other people in the shot, quite a simple yet effective camera movement What to improve on: Can show too much of the surroundings and wouldn't work well if it was a scene filmed after the original footage was filmed. 6. Hand-Held: What went well: The jagged handheld effect was created What to improve on: Re-film this properly, as the meaning was misinterpreted Camera Angles: 1. Birds eye view: What went well: A good shot for establishing lack of power What to improve on: Could be more effective if proper equipment was sourced and used 2.Worms eye view: What went well: A good shot for establishing power What to improve on: Could be re-shot from a lower perspective as it wasn't too effective due to not being able to see the shot from a lower position 3. Camera shots:
1. Behind Opaque Glass: What went well: Very effective and creepy What to improve on: Re film it on a bigger glass to have a full body effect rather than just a face 2. Tracking Down Corridor: What went well: Aperture used well to create a dark and creepy effect What to improve on: Use a dolly as the camera was quite shaky 3. Jump cuts towards camera: What went well: Subject looked creepy and the cuts were well steady What to improve on: Use a tripod and continuously film then cut the piece of media on Final Cut 4. ECU iris close: What went well: Very good close up shot to highlight fear What to improve on: Very hard to film and focus on the iris and subjects iris didn't expand or retract during changes of light. 5. Zombie track away: What went well: Good shot for zombie films What to improve on: Subjects looked quite unrealistic and had to be re-filmed due to a comedic effect 6. Corridor POV Track and Shadow: What went well: Good for jump scares What to improve on: Re-film this properly, as the subjects shirt could be seen towards the end of the clip and it was hard to maintain a speed 7. Low Angle Weapon Dragging out of Shot: What went well: Although a bit shaky, the shot was quite smooth What to improve on: Use a more realistic weapon 8. Wipe window jump scare: What went well: When used with blood a very conventional horror shot What to improve on: Use a bigger window and use fake blood 9. CU Resting Before Jump Scare: What went well: Good for jump scares What to improve on: Had to be re-filmed due to trying to keep a realistic sense about the shot 10. Shadow of Knife: What went well: Overall the shot looks convincing What to improve on: Very hard shot to film as the subjects hand kept getting in the way of the shot, the lighting had to constantly be changed to get the right shadow and as a real weapon wasn't used it had to be concealed |
